I got a baby kitty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Her name is Emma-lou, and i loovvvvvveee her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Anyways, just thought i'd share the news with ya'll.

I haven't updated in forever..alot has happened... Jess & Brandon are going to get married October 21st! :

I got accepted to Southeastern, so i'm going there in the fall..

I am waitressing at Chili's at Triangle Town Center Mall.. (it's been alot of fun, but i def. don't think i'm called to waitress long-term!! this is just a summer job!)

To update you from my past entry... Kyle & i are not dating anymore. To be honest, I wish we were; i really miss him! ..but the door has closed on us (@ least for now-maybe forever i don't know. God's sovereign and in conrol though!). I learned so much from him& i grew, and dating him was one of the best things i've ever done. But b/c of a series of things, we have to be apart, and we're just goin to do our seperate things (and do what we know the Lord wants us to do right now). It's a really hard time for me, but I'm holding on to my Daddy and let Him hold on to me & learning alot about trusting Him & surrendering. ANYWAYS, that's all i'm gonna say bout that..

I hope everyone is having a spectacular summer! God bless ya'll!

In Him,

Jenny Garrett

These two people (Beth and Kyle-- best friend & boyfriend) have been such an amazing blessing in my life in so many ways this year!!! And I will miss both of them greatly as we have to part ways in one month. :( Since it looks like I will not be returning to Emmaus next year (b/c of financial reasons), I sure hope that I won't loose these friendships! And may the Lord's will be done (reguarding this dating relationship He led us into). We're both trying to seek His will, and I think the plan's goin to be for us to keep dating (long distance)-- which will be hard for us, but I'm sure it'll strengthen our faith, as well as show us if Lord really wants us to stay together or not. So whoever's reading this, if you like to pray, that'd be awesome if you could lift this situation up. Thank you! God bless!

"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith." -Gal. 6:9-10

If the cause is worth dying for, it’s worth living for!

I feel overwhelmed with God's goodness right now! This morning in chapel we looked at Christ as The Servant. (He came to serve, not to be served). In my 1 Corinthians class, we studied Church Discipline and why sin in the church is a serious issue. That sin that we commit (of slandering, sexual immorality, pride, or any other sin) is the very thing that caused our Lord Jesus Christ to shed His precious blood on the cross. That is why he died- for Jenny's sin!!! I should be compelled to live a life far away from sin, yet I find myself back in sin several times a day even! I pray that I would often be reminded of the seriousness of my sin. For crying out loud: JESUS (THE PERFECT LAMB) DIED THE MOST PAINFUL DEATH YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE, THEN AROSE FROM THE DEAD! (So that you & I could be redeemed & sanctified!) HE IS NOW SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD THE FATHER, INTERCEEDING FOR US, & PREPARING A PLACE FOR US WHERE WE CAN ONE DAY LIVE ETERNALLY WITH HIM!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!! HE IS SO GOOD & FAITHFUL!! Then in History of Missions, we studied William Carey (Father of Modern Missions). **He pastored a church at 21 yrs old! He didn’t see 1000's saved, but he influenced more protestant missionaries than anyone else on the earth! One time, he was asked, “What’s your secret?” His answer was this: “I can plod”. –(He took one step at a time-in great faith no doubt!!!) -Despite his several, several years of oppression/persecution from people & family-especially his crazy first wife, He didn’t quit! He is an inspiration to me!! In my aspiration to pursue missions, I'm positive that I will face oppositions—maybe even to the point of death. And that's alright, because I have but one life to live for Christ, right? And did he not give up his life for me? So, yes, I would be willing to die a martyr's death-if the Lord would bless me with such an honor! But until (when/if) that happens, I know I will face numerous trials in this life. And that leads me to my final point:

“If the cause is worth dying for, it’s worth living for!”
